Since its inception in 2005, one of the main priorities for Tamkin Foundation was the provision of health services to the people of Somalia who witnessed over two decades of statelessness and conflict. With the support of its partners, Tamkin Foundation has been able to build, equip and operate 10 hospitals and 10 Mother and Child Health Centers (MCHs) throughout Somalia namely in Eel-ade Gedo region, Mogadishu, Afgoye in Lower Shabelle, Jowhar in Middle Shabelle, Beledweyne and Mahas in Hiiraan region, Abudwaq in Galgadud region, Armo in Bari Puntland, Hargeisa and Wajale in Somaliland to provide healthcare to communities living in those areas. This support has had a tremenous impact on improving the wellbeing and health of the communities living in these areas.
